This 20-Person Tent Has Sleeping Rooms, So Everyone in Your Family Will Be Comfortable
What I particularly like about this family tent is that although it’s a large tent, it’s more of a dome-style construction. Most of the larger tents are cabin-style, meaning they have walls that are angled straight up. This 10 person tent is a whopping 20’ by 10’ and splits into three rooms. You also might be able to squeeze in another twin-sized bed if you want to pack more people in.
My friend chose to not put up his rain fly betting on the perfect weather to continue while enjoying the stars at night. During those five minutes of rain, he was a little more stressed as the risk of a wet sleeping bag had not been completely mitigated and he rushed back to the campground. I, on the other hand, could have stayed out longer.
There is no indication about waterproofness rating, but seams are taped and the tent is built to be waterproof. All the windows and the doors are double-layer, with mesh and with panels for protection. In the following paragraphs I share just a few design features that, in my opinion, make this a well-designed product. The tent is open at the top with a weather rain fly that fits over the dome. Now let’s get down to what is most important to me… Despite planning around the weather forecast we got pounded with rain storms during our 3 day stay. I am glad to report that after heavy rains with some sunny breaks (too few to mention) the tent held up well. No, I did seal all the seams and then went over tent, seams and fly with silicon water-guard made by Atsko which I bought at Walmart for about 3 bucks per can…
