Ozark Trail Sleeping Bags

I won’t ever buy an expensive sleeping bag after carrying this cheapo, unless I can find a cheap bag that weighs a lot less. I purchased this sleeping bag for warm weather camping trips at the local lake. For fifteen dollars I wasn’t expecting (or needing) anything that would stand up to freezing weather. Unfortunately the workmanship was more than a little upsetting, even for that price. The Ozark Trail 40 Sleeping bag is not only a great looking bag, but offers warmth and comfort on a cool summer’s night. Also great for overnight guests, slumber parties or opening it up to use as a blanket or comforter.

A wider and longer sleeping bag with the hood of a mummy bag and the roominess of a square-bottom bag. Stay cozy even on the coldest nights of your camping or hiking trips with the Everest Mummy Sleeping Bag, +5F/-15C Degree. This bag is only rated to 30 degrees and may not be warm enough for some settings. A good double-sized sleeping bag that will match the frame of your queen-sized air mattress.

The bag, by itself, is not very warm at that temperature. We layer a blanket between the sleeping pads and the sleeping bags for some extra insulation. When it is very cold I also use a comforter over the sleeping bags. We wear warm clothes to sleep in, including a beanie. Hand warmers in our socks and body warmers in our shirts are helpful as well. Our sleeping bags zip together, allowing us to take advantage of the shared body heat.

Shopping for sleeping bags is overwhelming. There are just so many bags available. I did a good ozark trail tent bit of research before purchasing ours. Of course, I wanted something that would keep us warm.
