Some latch straps have a little loop sewn into the loose tail end that you can slip your index finger into and pull, but this strap didn’t have that option. Therefore, it took a little more effort for me to tighten the latch strap enough to yield a solid installation after the LockStrong bar was shut and locked. Once again, make sure you reference the visual indicator on the inside of the base to confirm that it has turned from red to fully green – indicating that the LockStrong bar is securely locked. Read on to learn how to put your car seat back together after removing the seat cover. If you need some more guidance, this short video will show you to install your Evenflo convertible car seat in the forward-facing position.

The seat is lightweight yet sturdy, and it is easy to keep clean. However, I would like to see some different options for anchoring the seat that would make installation easier and close to the same procedure for various types of vehicles. The seat is easier to install in face forward position and easier to place child in and secure the straps with less effort.

Squeeze the oblong button on top of the handle, then move the handle into the correct position. Press both handle rotation buttons and rotate the handle into infant carry position (position 2) to move back to the vehicle. I would barely complain if the harness was rated from 5 lbs.

The infant inserts (head support & lower body cushion) are optional when the seat is used rear-facing but must be removed before your child uses the seat forward-facing. If using Revolve 360 with a small infant it may be necessary to tuck the side bolsters of the lower insert underneath the flat portion in order to give the baby a bigger boost (2nd pic below). This extra boost may be necessary for babies younger than 6 months old if their shoulders are not close enough to the bottom harness slot using the lower insert as-is (1st pic below). It’s surprisingly compact when rear-facing as long as you have the seat positioned a little more upright (but still within the range of the angle indicator). We have confirmed that Evenflo allows Revolve 360 to lightly contact the vehicle seat in front (when rear-facing) which helps in vehicles where space is an issue. Even with light contact from the front passenger seat in my Hyundai Tucson (small SUV), the rotation feature still functioned easily.

The thing to remember about 3-in-1 car seats is they aren’t always a combination of forward facing, rear facing and booster. Sometimes it means a combination of harnessed booster, seat belt booster, and no back booster, and this particular combination is the case for all three Evenflo booster seat models. Once your base evenflo car seat and stroller is installed tightly, lock the seatbelt by pulling the webbing all the way to the end and listening for the clicking/ratcheting sound as the webbing feeds back into the locked retractor. The final step before you connect the seat to the base is to attach and tighten the tether strap to the tether anchor in your vehicle.

We rigorously test all of our car seats at 2X the energy levels of the Federal Crash Test Standard. This car seat takes up a lot of space front-to-back when it’s installed in the car. It won’t be the best choice for small backseats or for tall front-seat passengers. This seat is heavy, so some parents may find it difficult to lift it in and out of the car with a growing baby inside.

Amazingly the Evenflo convertible car seat lineup has the same price range as its infant car seats, albeit with slightly lower ratings. Each seat is different, so be sure to read up on each one to get the features you want before you buy. The Triumph is a solid choice for a convertible car seat, with high user ratings and having been side impact tested. With several color options the Triumph can cost as much as $170. Evenflo meets government safety guidelines and has harness straps that can be attached in a number of different positions.

Attach the seat to the base by lining up the red arrow on the seat (which you’ll find underneath the flap of fabric) with the white arrow on the base. Pull the chest clip to ensure that the harness is equal on both sides. Ensure that the harness is placed at the child’s shoulders. Evenflo’s lawyers argued that when plaintiffs are not physically or otherwise injured by an unsafe product, they lack standing under Article III of the U.S.
