Spirit II discontinued in 2021 The Virtual Weber Bulletin Board

The open cart, or open frame design of the Spirit II doesn’t appear to be offered in the Spirit line. While the closed cart with doors design appeals to many, in my opinion, it is prone to rust. Once the cart is shot, grills tend to find their way to the landfill rather quickly. The open cart design allows for humidity to escape, keeping it dry. Weber seems to be leaning towards the closed cart design, as most of their gas grills, both natural gas and propane, are this type. Weber may have addressed the issue as well, as the newer closed carts have better ventilation.

Both series have come in handy as they are preferred due to their durability and good quality, even if they are more expensive than other grillers in the market. We will focus on Weber Spirit Model E-310 and Weber Spirit II Model E-310, which are popular in the market. If you plan on doing some low & slow smoking along with moderate searing/grilling, then I would recommend getting a different grill such as the Weber Smokey Mountain or some sort of pellet smoker.

So please make sure when you are assembling/disassembling, that you don’t accidentally touch the metal parts of the spit with your hands. It’s definitely worth doing when you have some spare time (not during competition because you have to turn the meat so much and can’t leave it unattended for very long). However, because it features three separate burners, it’s possible to set up multizone cooking. The app will alert you when grilling is done and it’s time to eat. This lets you step away from your grill and mingle with your guests or tend to other food that needs your attention.

If you need even more smoke flavor, just light some newspaper underneath that firepot area and let the flames lick up the underside of your grill. You will get tons of acrid smoke in no time which will help to impart a good amount of flavor into your weber spirit 2 food. I love cooking outdoors over live fire and smoke whatever the weather, using various grills, smokers, and wood-fired ovens to produce epic food. My goal with this site is to help as many people as possible enjoy and be good at doing the same.

I downloaded all of the customer reviews for these grills from Home Depot’s website and plotted them side by side. This grill does everything I need it to do and more. The propane gauge is useful and the burners give decent heat distribution. Every grill has its hot spots and I’ve found that regularly cleaning the burners makes a big difference. In response to the price, the Weber Spirit II is surprisingly cheaper than the Spirit grill. The improvements made on it enhance its user-friendliness, unlike the latter.

Easy to quickly put in place and cleans up just as easy. After only 2 minutes on that hot grill surface, my dogs were tasting so much better than those microwaved steam table ones at Costco! You can leave the Blackstone Adventure lid open if you want because there’s no heat coming off from that burner area, but don’t forget to check back every few seconds just in case for flare-ups. You could easily get burnt from this if not careful!

The side burner looks neat, but I don’t really see too much use for it. Open your door to the world of grilling with the sleek Spirit II E-210 gas grill. This two burner grill is built to fit small spaces, and packed with features such as the powerful GS4 grilling system, iGrill capability, and convenient side tables for placing serving trays.

My last propane grill, a Genesis Silver B with an open cart has lasted over 20 years, and I passed it on to one of my kids. The Weber Spirit II E-310 is a pretty decent grill overall (compared to other Weber grills that I’ve used), but be careful about using it if you want to do any sort of smoking or searing/grilling. To monitor the cooking temperature, we generally don’t rely on thermometers built into the hood. Instead, we placed our digital thermometer in the middle area, and it registered a cooking temp of 295°F.

Major ports around the world are still operating at reduced capacity because of COVID-19 restrictions — on average, container boats sit at port for about 3 weeks before being unloaded. Combine these shipping inefficiencies with a scarcity of natural resources, and virtually every industry has been crippled to some degree. Yet we acknowledge that it’s our duty to meet these challenges head-on and work toward solutions so you can enjoy more time outdoors with the people you love. We appreciate your patience as we strive to smooth out our supply chain, and we thank you for choosing us for your grilling and outdoor living needs. The internal temperature of the Traeger smoker box was around 175 F after 2 hours of smoking. The food tasted great afterward so you can expect similar results from Weber’s built-in smoker box if you fill it up halfway with lighter fluid/water .
