It is important to note that the Blackstone does not include propane tanks, so you will need to purchase those items separately. Our Blackstone works with the small tabletop propane tanks as well as the traditional 20 lb. Tank because we use our Blackstone practically every day … sometimes twice a day. But as much as I love it, I must confess that a 28″ would have worked just fine for me and my family.

It is a single H shaped burner so it only heats the cooktop to one uniform temperature but that has been fine for me in most cases. To give you a more visual picture you can fit 9 hamburger patties on the 17″ griddle. Griddles can produce a lot of grease latent vapors which are extremely flammable. I would not recommend use of a blackstone griddle indoors under any circumstance that does not have a commercial hood and suppression system.
At less than $100 this can significantly add some enjoyable outdoor cooking experiences at a minimal cost. After you have disconnected the propane, be sure to remove the grease cup from the back of the griddle. You do not want to forget this step … otherwise, your day will become quite messy!
