Weber Spirit II E-310 3-Burner Black 30,000-BTU LP Gas Grill World’s Largest Hardware Store

A stainless steel work surface is made of cast aluminum that is rust-resistant and durable fitted with built-in hooks for tools. With the E-310 models, however, the Spirit II has a lower BTU of 30,000 as against the 32,000 of the Spirit series. This difference is insignificant and does not affect the performance of both grills though.

Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices on Spirit II 3-burner and 2-burner grills are $599 and $499 respectively, but the street price is about a hundred bucks less. Those who take the long view on purchasing decisions could consider Spirit’s $500 (3-burner) and $400 (2-burner) street prices a bargain. Now, another feature of the grilling system is the porcelain enameled flavorizer bars. The flavorizer bars then allow these drippings to evaporate, adding extra flavor to the food. Weber is no longer producing our former upgrade pick, the Weber Genesis II E-310.

Well, you get a bit more fire power per burner, but apart from that there isn’t too much difference here. It is up to you to decide whether this is worth the higher price tag. This is one of the main elements that you need to look at when choosing any grill, and the Weber Spirit II E 310 is no different. The side shelves are definitely a great feature and practically a must at this price point.

While maintaining a few of the better features like an expansive grilling area, the Spirit II came out with an upgrade in a few features. The Spirit II models, for instance, char broil performance come in a lighter design and use only 2 sturdy wheels, where their predecessors used to use 4. On top of this, these grills came with a few color options for the lid.

Even so, it was easier to put together with help from someone else. It took my colleague,Molly Price, and I just over an hour to finish building the Spirit II. Weber’s red $599 Spirit II E-310 gas grill cooks pretty well, but costs too much.

Surprisingly, however, there is no read out on the iGrill 3 itself. You need to use the app even when you’re standing at the grill. Check out Weber’s iGrill 3 video below that shows how to install this optional thermometer on their Genesis II. The Spirit II E-310 also exhibited the most consistent heat across the entire cooking surface in the 2018 test, just as the original Spirit had done in 2017. Among the competition in our 2017 test, the Napoleon model in particular had noticeable cool spots toward the front of its grates.
