Weber Spirit E-210 Review: Our Favorite 2-Burner Gas Grill

The porcelain coating usually makes such grates easier to clean than other surfaces, and the grates should resist rust as long as their porcelain coating isn’t chipped. Next time you Blackstone Adventure cook, brush the cold, soot-covered grills clean, wipe them with a wet paper towel or rag, and then proceed. While it may not be on the same level as high end or newer models, the Weber Spirit II E 310 has plenty to offer in terms of both power as well as grilling opportunities. Of course, a pretty important aspect of any grill is temperature control and maintenance. The temperature gauge is easy to use and is great for ensuring that you choose as precise of a setting as you desire. This feature can be especially useful in colder conditions when you are finding against lower temperatures and wind in starting up your grill. As it is all battery operated, the effort is taken out of your hands.

The Weber company is the brainchild of George Stephens, an avid family man with 12 children, he was a lover of quality time cooking with the family. But he found the traditional brazier style BBQ’s Blackstone Adventure of the 1950s to be problematic, inefficient, and uneven. You expect a certain level of quality with a grill from Weber, and the Spirit ii E-330 is no exception. It does use a slightly lower grade of steel than it’s more expensive big brothers, but this is not detrimental to the grill itself.

Remember to avoid using too much pressure or harsh tools or you may risk chipping the coating. In fact, I would readily recommend this model to those who are getting started. From start to finish, this offers an easy yet high quality grilling experience.

Cooking temp on the Spirit II is pretty even, with the back of the grill running slightly hotter than the front.

Note that the cast iron grates are not as wide as the opening between them. Reversible cooking grates aren’t unusual, but Spirit II grates are a little different than most. Spirit II reversible grates have a thin side which Weber believes is “ideal for food such as shrimp and fish”, and flat side which “creates a thick sear mark”. The ultimate goal is an evenly dark brown crust across the entire surface of the meat, which transforms dull, tan meat to a delicious flavorful crust thanks to the magical Maillard reaction.
