While the Series 7 is powerful enough for most shaving situations, Braun’s Series 9 is the top-performing shaver we’ve tried that we find worth the additional expense—at least for certain situations. If you have particularly curly or coarse hair, or if you wish to shave less frequently but achieve the same level of closeness, this may be the shaver for you.

You can still use it wet or dry, and Braun bundles in its SmartCare Centre, which cleans, lubricates and charges when you insert the shaver head downwards and push the connector at the top. Some might find the illuminated indicators on the SmartCare Centre a little blinding, but that’s really the only criticism we have.

Was good at removing excess to enable main shaver to get in to finish the job. Able to work in the shower so that is a positive and battery life so far has been great. Comes with a stubble spacer for a stubbly shave but have not used this yet. Worth a look Braun Series 5 in as a daily shaver but didn’t fit in with my grooming requirements.
