Our neighborhood park has several little playhouses for the toddlers to play inside of, and I always knew I would want one in our own backyard at some point. The Cape Cottage Playhouse is the perfect size for our little lad, and has also captivated our five year old and seven year old nieces. The children love opening and shutting the doors as well as the windows. Once this product arrived- and by arrived, I mean that I came home to the most massive box ever blocking my front door! – I was slightly nervous to tackle the assembly process. I’ve heard from people that these play house things are a major pain to put together and that we should budget at least two hours for assembly.
After a year of play and being in the sun all the stickers have come off and it’s beginning to look sun-faded. Kids still love it, just disappointed. All the parts were there and instructions were easy. Might consider a second for the play area, the kids like it so much. We had an older version of this growing up that in my memory seemed to be made of thicker plastic in spots like the doors, but I think this will hold up well enough.

The directions were easy to follow and the pictures were informative and helpful. The little tikes cape cottage playhouse in red has so much style! Modern windows, arched doorway and brick details this little house will be a perfect first playhouse for any little one!
We would love to have a fun house to play in outside though. I recommend the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse to families to use with age appropriate children. We have the turtle sandbox and My first Slide. We do have a couple of little tikes things. I love that it has window/shutters that open up and I also love the place to hold a little flag. The quality of this product is impressive and I see us utilizing it for future play dates.

ON THE PLUS SIDE my kids are excited & that’s what matters right?? And the blue is a super beautiful turquoise! Now I’ll be looking for some flat river rocks to set inside for the flooring & a small table of some sort. If my kids lean on it wrong I’m afriad the door or window shutter will break.
