Beats Flex sound quality will not blow anything out of the water but with the price of A$79.95, its combination of sound, design, and comfort combined makes it a good value, wireless earphones from Beats. If you are looking to replace your Apple EarBuds without paying too much, Beats Flex makes a great choice. The main issue with the sound quality is that everything feels a little bit flat. Whether you’re listening to pop or rap, there’s no sense at all of a wide soundstage that gives songs their individual identity.
If a USB-C slot isn’t available to you, you can go online and buy a new power adapter for your headphones. That’s not to say your entire high-end is missing, but simply that the Flex lack some of the sparkle you’ll get from slightly beats solo pro wireless more generous drivers. Similar to AirPods Pro, Beats Flex eartips are designed to seal in the ear canal, which helps secure them in place during activity and block out ambient noise.

The switch to USB-C does make it much easier for Android users, as they generally have plenty of USB-C cables and may not already own any devices that charge over Lightning. This setup is a bit different from BeatsX, which actually had a third housing located closer to the ear on the left side that was where all of the physical controls were located.
The real star of the show is that impressive battery life, and if you need a new pair of headphones now that the EarPods are no longer included in the box, then the Beats Flex are a solid choice. Regular Powerbeats offer up to 15 hours of battery life but are less convenient to take in and out of your ears. The Flex’s sound profile also beats studio3 favors vocals and spoken content. This is great if you’re watching a movie or TV, or listening to a podcast. It’s not the best when you want to blast the bombastic hip-hop of Run The Jewels. The lack of appropriately boomy bass at times also impacts kick drums from metal bands like Gojira, sucking a ton of energy out of the songs.
