When the level indicator blinks red, the cartridge needs to be replaced – about every 4 weeks when used daily. Switch on the shaver and rinse the shaver head under hot running water until all residues have been removed. You may use liquid soap without abrasive substances. Rinse off all foam and let the shaver run for a few more seconds.
I am convinced that flexible heads are a must on foil shavers, the difference they make in terms of comfort is surprising . 1 full charge provides up to 3 weeks’ worth of shaving. 5 min quick charge is sufficient for 1 full shave. Braun Series cc is equipped with a high-performance and high-capacity battery that can last up to 50 minutes with 1 hour of charging. Ordinary people spend at least 5 minutes shaving daily, and with this model, you can use it for at least ten days before you need to recharge. Braun Series cc is the most expensive Braun Series 5 lineup and comes with a Clean and Charge station.
Depending on the beard length, the 5190cc dishes out an appropriate treatment. I get a “Close” shave with it (yes, even with a dense “4-day” beard). It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Braun and its products. However, Braun Series 5 there’s no hiding the fact that the rubber grip will eventually show some remnants of smudges and signs of our fingertips. With regular maintenance, this small inconvenience can be easily dealt with.
I tried to test it in a variety of scenarios so I can get a better understanding of its pros and cons and when this shaver would be a suitable option. The charger (type 492-XXXX) has a USA plug and will work anywhere in the world (100–240v). Nevertheless, the battery life has been solid during my tests with the Series s.
It’s not quite as easy as a shaver like the Skull Shaver Pit Bull. That is a shaver designed for head use, however, the Braun Series 5 has its own pros over these shavers designed specifically for head shaving. I used it for wet shaving in the shower, and out, with and without shaving foam, and dry shaving. I also tested out how well it shaved my head, even though it is primarily a face shaver. Cordless – The shaver is cordless and has to be charged while plugged in before use and it should not be used while plugged in. The lead fits into the bottom of the shaver and it has an EU bathroom or US type plug (depends if it’s a US or EU model).
The cleaning station is essentially a dock that cleans, charges and lubricates your electric shaver. Of course, people have their own preferences when it comes to electric shavers.
