Now it has started faulty heating and takes three times as long.

It is a sturdy and reliable soup maker, but this does come at a price; at a hefty £140.00 the cuisinart griddler elite Plus would be your splurge-buy. As you can’t blend while heating like many soup makers which offer a smooth setting, it does mean you need to chop vegetables well to ensure you end up with a smooth consistency. There’s a high setting for bringing liquids up to the boil and a simmer setting which is a lower temperature and ideal for simmering soups. If you want to stir, you need to press the slow stir button. The Soup Maker, without benefit of scale, requires cooks to use additional equipment and time for measuring ingredients.
