Repeat step 1, but when the brew indicator light turns solid, press the power button as the brewer starts to dispense. The drip tray can hold up to 8 ounces of overflow and should be emptied and cleaned occasionally. To remove, slide it toward you, keeping it level to avoid spilling.

When it comes to compact and easy-to-use drip machines for the casual coffee lover, there’s not much more you can ask of the Keurig K-Mini. The Keurig K-Mini is not the cheapest drip coffee machine you can buy, but it is one of the most affordable offerings in Keurig’s lineup. It’s an excellent option if you want convenience and style while keeping your price point low. Keurigs are big on convenience but not so great with control. There are no temperature or brew controls to speak of on this little machine, with only a power button and a brew button. Kitchen counter space is valuable real estate, so it’s important that what you have there is both useful and compact.

This has been true in previous Prime Day events, with an unofficial Prime Day “shopping season” now taking place. Check out all the special deals from our podcast sponsors! The Boat Galley can be overwhelming with over 1,200 articles. I’m not at all a fan of the plastic ones you fill yourself.

Add an additional 2oz of water to the reservoir to ensure the minimum fill level has been met, then press the brew button. The larger more expensive k cup pod coffee makers range anywhere from a 4 oz shot up to a 12 oz shot. The larger the shot you pull with the machine, the more watered down it will be, not to mention that then you brew over ice, it will melt the ice making the coffee more watered down. The removable drip trays in both models comes in handy here as you can just remove the whole plate after a spill and wash it over running water in the sink. Because of their small designs, there are fewer parts to keep cleaning.

The water reservoir is also not removable but can be accessed easily from the back of the device. These two models are by far their smallest coffee makers. They can do the same work as other coffee makers and perhaps even better than rival models despite their small size. A true example of why size is not an inhibitor in the coffee maker world. The k mini and k-slim are both less than 5” in width so you’re sure to find a spot for them in your kitchen. Their size, however, does not take away from their performance.

For starters, the K-Supreme Plus has a super sleek design and yet has a 78-ounce removable reservoir. You can get nine cups of coffee out of this Keurig before you have to even think about refilling it. Thank to the K-Supreme’s Plus multistream technology, your Keurig is equipped to extract more flavor and aroma from every brew compared to the other Keurig models. It also gives you the option to program up to three individual brewing preferences, saving you more time where you literally thought time could not possibly be saved. The Keurig K-Mini Plus doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles of some of the larger and more advanced Keurig coffee makers, but that’s okay. This machine is meant to be small and compact and to be used for single cups of hot coffee.

Keurig K-Mini

The outer shell is plastic, so it doesn’t feel as premium as some other machines, but the overall quality is actually quite nice if you’re good with that. To keep your Mini in good shape, it’s recommended to clean the external parts or the brewer regularly and descaling it every three to six months. The brewer uses all regular k-cups, branded and non-branded.

The K-Mini Plus is one of Keurig’s most popular coffee machines. It comes in a slim 5-inch design, can store up to 12 ounces of water, and has a strong brew feature for those who need an extra kick in the mornings. More and more coffee lovers like to prepare their daily coffee with a K-cup single-serve coffee maker for convenience. Indeed, it would be hard to find an alternative to either the K-Mini or K-Plus that is so affordable and compact and makes freshly brewed coffee in a minute at the touch of a button. Both machines brew coffee identically and have the same water reservoir capacity.

For example, the removable drip tray has a chrome accent, whereas the K-Mini is completely plastic. Without the “Strong Brew” feature, the water travels through the grounds at a standard flow rate. However, using the “Strong Brew” feature, the water spends longer in contact with Hamilton Beach the coffee grounds thanks to a slower flow rate. Therefore, if you prefer strong coffee, the K-Mini Plus is by far your best option. In the grand scheme of things, I guess that’s quick enough, but it feels long while you’re staring at the machine, jonesing for your cuppa.
