You can just pull out this filter and throw away the dirt, pouring just dirty water away down the sink, without fear of causing a blockage. Both the tank and its filter can be easily rinsed clean. The clean tank dispenses water and solution mixture with a pull of a trigger, while dirty water is removed from floors and stored in a separate dirty water tank.
A separate button activates the self-cleaning mode when the unit is mounted to the charger-cum-cleaning station. The CrossWave Max is super easy to master as long as you can get a handle on the concept of pulling a trigger while you push and releasing it when you pull. This is because the machine only dispenses water to the roller when the trigger is pulled. The idea is that, on release of the trigger, the vacuum system is activated to suck up all excess liquid, leaving the floor dryer than most of its competitors. It’s also more readily available online and from a company with a foot placed firmly in the UK – and that makes it easier to get things fixed when/if required.
There are handy fill lines for large and small areas, which means you won’t be wasting detergent. Although this model is called the CrossWave Cordless Max, it’s no bigger than the previous CrossWave Cordless. In fact, at just 5.22kg, this model is actually lighter than its predecessor. It’s also the recipient of a few design tweaks that make it the better cleaner overall. Self-cleaning cycle flushes out dirt and debris after every use, reducing the amount of clean-up after use and helping to maintain your CrossWave Cordless Max.
Unlike some of the best cordless vacuums on the market, the Bissell CrossWave has great first-time contact with big and small particles alike. The suction makes sure that no kibble, crumb, or grain of sand is left behind! I never have to go over loose debris more than once. Too frequently, we forget to clean the equipment we use (the fridge, washing machine, etc.) It’s something we need to be doing more to ensure things last much longer. Cleaning the was quite straightforward and don’t even need to take the brush roll out. I’ve always viewed cleaning the floors as one of those tasks that are far harder than I imagined.
