Thanks to Smart Return to Home, automatic takeoff, and precise hovering, the operation is more streamlined and safer than ever. Nonetheless, in some situations, you might want to hear your drone or whatever sounds are in the area that you are flying. For these situations, my recommendation is to install one of those apps that allow you to record your phone screen, together with the sound that phantom 4 the microphone captures. Presents a detailed user profile that showcases the number of flights, fly hours, distance flown, and many other interesting aspects of your flights. Allows you to control the camera and its settings, as well as the intelligent fly modes. There is no denying that the Mini 2 comes packed with many new and interesting features that have made it the king of the market.

When the aircraft is connected to the mobile device via the remote controller, enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the mobile device to connect it with the aircraft. After you enter Playback in the DJI Fly app, tap the QuickTransfer icon in the upper right hand corner, and then you can download photos and videos from the aircraft to your smartphone. With a maximum battery life of 31 minutes, you’ll have enough time to get the perfect shot, the one designed for your enjoyment. You will be able to fly in all conditions with this new DJI drone, because it resists winds of up to km/h and can take off up to a maximum height of 4000 m. You will have the most stable flights no matter where you are, whether you are near the sea or gliding over a mountain forest.

The remote controls for both the Mini SE and the Mini 2 allow you to see what your drone sees while in flight, helping you film exactly what you want the way you want. While the Mini SE lacks these two features, both drones allow you to use the editor suite in the DJI Fly app to edit and apply templates to your photos and videos as you like. They have a variety of interesting templates, sounds, and effects that you can choose from in the app, picking and choosing whatever you like to create the look you’re going for. Automatic takeoff and precision hovering are two more smart features that both drones share.

On longer trips I have recharged the drone batteries with an Anker Powerbank which worked great. If you decide to go that route you might carefully research various powebanks as those with multiple outlets, USB 3 charging capacity, etc greatly speed up the process. Mine has three outlets capable of USB 3 so I can crawl into my tent at night, hook up the DJI battery hub with 3 batteries, my GPS watch and phone then fall asleep. At some point I’ll wake up, disconnect whatever has fully charged an connect my USB headlamp before falling back asleep. In the morning everything is full for the next day.

But despite not having any sensors, I actually felt more adventurous with the Mini — it is so small you can easily squeeze it through tighter spaces. I found myself trying things that I normally wouldn’t try with a heavier and more expensive drone. The downside of not having any sensors is that it also means you won’t find a lot of the automated, preprogrammed flight modes.

Its ability to cope with fairly robust changes of direction or even sharp stops is also excellent. If you are looking for an entry level drone at a reasonable price – and one you can fly pretty phantom 4 much anywhere – this is for you. With a top speed of 36MPH, it’s no problem to track your pet or child as they run around a field. Portability and ease of use are the names of the game here.
