However, the cleaning performance was excellent, with only one pass required to pick up dust and debris on our hard floor and a few more required on carpet. Maximum power was unbearably noisy however, so much so that it’s probably one to opt for when you’re out of the house. An attachment for carpet includes a cutter to slice up hair, which reduces the need to do maintenance on the head. Keep in mind the company’s last robot vacuum, the 360 Heurist, never launched in the US, though it came to the UK. During the 75,000 home trials, the team had to contend with people covering the robot to hide it, as well as pets and children running through the scene confusing the robot. The “go clear a path” task that RoMan is slowly thinking through is difficult for a robot because the task is so abstract.
