Remove the Steam Release Valve cover by pulling it up and off the Steam Release Valve stem. Clean and inspect the Steam Release Valve cover after each cooker use. Reinstall the cover by pressing it firmly downward on to the Steam Release Valve stem until it snaps into place. Do not attempt to operate the pressure cooker without the Steam Release Valve cover installed.
