FWIW I just had one of these black screen, IMU Failure and drop like a rock. Fortunately it was just in the woods behind my property so no people or property was damaged dji fly but the drone is absolutely destroyed. I agree that a 1” sensor would be nice, but would that have put it over the 250g weight, which is this drone’s selling point?

Because as a beginner one has to get to know the system and its limitations, one has to train how to use it safely and one has to practice. Yes, I would have liked it, but not if the price or weight went up. The Mavic Mini 2 is an excellent drone for hobbyists and beginners alike. One particular line that resonates is that this is ‘a drone that grows with you.’ The original Mini had its limitations with JPEG-only imagery, 2.7K video footage, and a Wi-Fi signal.
