Since using this serum and eye cream my psoriasis completely disappeared. The only other product i can use is QV but it’s heavy on my face. The skin absorbs it quickly but I definitely feel a sense of tackiness on the face. If you live in a hot humid climate you will definitely feel the sticky-ness much more. Ideally it needs to be followed by a moisturizer but that just becomes too much and too heavy during the humid rainy season.
The texture, smell and absorbency feels just like the previous iteration. It is a light, opaque, golden liquid that sinks right into skin. Truthfully, there isn’t much that’s new in terms of how the serum promises to perform. In fact, I took a look at their ingredients list, and noticed that it is quite similar, with similar key ingredients.
It is fairly thick, so won’t run between your fingers, but lightweight and it spreads easily, leaving behind a slightly wet feel that sinks in after a few minutes. The only barely perceptible difference we found between the two is that the new formula leaves no tackiness, Estee Lauder makeup whereas with the former we experienced a little stickiness. When blind-tested, we couldn’t tell the two apart from texture alone. Both feel cooling, soothing and moisturising on the skin, which is exactly what our tired and dehydrated skin wants at the end of the day.
All of this preparation gets you ready for your best look of the season. I really don’t see why this product is so highly rated. People raving over the “divine” fragrance, it has not got not a brilliant smell and people saying their skin feel’s so wonderful. If I hadn’t bought it from John Lewis i would have thought I had bought a fake product. I have been using it for the last couple of weeks and there has been no visible difference. In fact I would say that my skin feels a bit tight.
