I wasn’t too pleased with all the control board failures even some here saying it is underpowered. We just ordered one and it’ll be in store in roughly 3 weeks. Sort of reiterating the comment I left on the video… I was looking for some simple specs and couldn’t hardly find anything. Called customer service and they were horrible. I’m doubting the likelihood of replacement parts being readily available. Unlike the power wheels that dominate the market with customizable upgrades.

I contacted Huffy for a new one which was a waste of time. Model YK31 500w with reverse, eBay special, about $50.
I don’t need it to be any more powerful as it already goes about 10mph and with 4×4 the thing will go up a curb no problem. Lol just wanted to increase runtime which nearly tripled. In all honesty, you would save time and money by ordering some other custom battery pack from a different vehicle or appliance, with a different chemistry. Be it LiFePO4, li-ion or Ni-MH, they will perform much better (unless you install something too small C-rate wise).

For now, it was a cheap way to triple run time. Hope they live “reasonably enough” and stay matched, because once one of the 12V 7Ah batteries starts having trouble, the 24V battery will suffer the consequences. Wiring 2 12v batteries in series mimics a single 24v battery. The important thing is that all the batteries ah’s are the same so they drain at the dame rate. You would not want to wire them in series , as this will increase the voltage, and either blow the fuse that should be there, or else could burn out the motor.

The stock pedal is infact variable and will work. You just need to repin some wire which is pretty simple. I found the front tires only spin about half as fast as the rears.
I got it with optional throttle pedal for variable throttle. I can go over wiring if anyone needs details, but in a nut shell, I only wired the rear wheels. The motor plug on controller needs swapped, simple, and reverse the polarity as that time. Since these Torex’s sorts freewheel the brake needs to function. I then noticed if it was in reverse it would “brake” so I wired the brake to the reverse input.
