She drinks sweet blush Franzia from the box daily and fills her house with Bath and Body works’ Raspberry candles, matching shower gel, and sparkle body spray. On top of all of this, she douses herself in knockoff drug store “Mugler Angel inspired” cologne. She’s so cloying she comments on all of your Facebook posts in “support” but it’s just a manipulation so she can try to hook you into her MLM. Says hun a lot and you’re not sure if the feigned happy tone she uses when she speaks with you is a threat, patronizing, or if indeed she’s just that way all the time. Most people seem to love this fragrance, so I may sound crazy… but this smells super mature and heavy to me. It would be a pleasant smell on my grandma.
One is a nice intimate fragrance with minimal sillage and four is pretty powerful and projects all day. Two sprays is usually perfect for regular wear. Sophisticated yet unapologetically modern, this fresh and floral women‘s perfume bursts with notes of citrus, rose, jasmine, and white musk and is layered over a vanilla perfume base.
I think LVEB was one of the perfumes responsible for my change from heavy floral/musk/chypres to sweeter fragrances and gourmands. It walks the line between “love” and “like,” but I have to rank it as a “like” simply because it can be headache-inducing, as it is today. With that being said, I have a rollerball and hope to get a full bottle someday. This is the signature scent of a basic young woman – someone who is not picky when it comes to her scent profile, and does not bother to read the notes that come with the bottle. No stranger would get offended by this.

I was excited to try it as I had seen so many rave reviews about this scent. To me, it smells a lot like Black Opium. I think this lasts longer than black Opium though. The dry down is Estee Lauder NIGHT REPAIR a tad bit cloying on me though. I’m a gourmand lover, but I dislike La Vie Est Belle and much prefer a few other Lancome scents to this one. For me, LVEB is too heavy and cloying.
Lasts very long into the day on the skin and forever on fabric. What I’d say is that it has a high sillage even with a tiny spray which lasts for days in clothes, if not longer. I’d recommend to someone confident who perhaps lives the concept of oud but finds it overpowering as some do. This is the perfect alternative for a spicy and woody yet sexy and womanly scent. If you have a partner that enjoys vanilla scents you might have to be wary of having their nose attached to your neck every time you wear it.
Fortunately bought it from an a colleague and didn’t pay much. Because of the marketing for this scent and the bottle design, I always assumed this was a classy, mature floral scent but it’s a well balanced gourmand with slight floral notes. I think it’s simply popular to hate on this Estee Lauder makeup scent in the fraghead/ fragrance community as it’s labeled “basic” but honestly some chypres are wildly popular too so none of that matters. If it isn’t for you- fine but you can’t deny this scent is strong and long lasting. If you like gourmands or sweet florals, you’ll like this.
