Ysabl is a graduate of BA Communication Arts with area of specialization in Advertising and Public Relations. She recently studied in Slim’s Fashion and Arts School during which she was able to intern for international fashion designer Tex Saverio for Fashion Exchange International. Her inclination to “do something” has been building up since childhood years as she, little by little, subconsciously adopted values from her father who is an environmental activist. Ysabl aspires to one day create her own sustainable and entirely local brand, hoping to create positive change in the cultural, economic, environmental, and social aspects of the Philippine fashion industry.
Sarah also leads ‘Trade Fair Live Fair’ an European Commission funded programme focused on raising awareness of sustainable consumption and driving changes in public policies and private sector practices that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. Sarah also leads the Policy Dialogue programme in India, Philippines, Rwanda and Kenya to undertake participatory policy research, funded by the British Council. Sarah has worked in social responsibility and environmental sustainability in the fashion sector for the past eleven years and was recently named one of London’s most influential people by the Evening Standard Progress 1000.
