Master Of G

G-SHOCK’s “Master of G” series are some of the hardest-wearing, most feature-packed watches that the brand has to offer. The Mudmaster is designed and engineered to withstand anything that the roughest of wilderness situations can throw at it. Composed of high-rigidity carbon material, the Mudmaster takes “shock resistant” to the next level. In the rare event that a standard G-SHOCK isn’t enough, the baby g shock carbon and metal Mudmaster is surely ready for action. The twin sensor collection complies of 3 different models with similar advanced specifications but a different color range for you to select your favorite one. The height of the resin layer is thick and it is followed by a brushed stainless steel layer that’s highlighted with the same stainless steel on top which runs adjacent to the buttons.

Naturally, since it is all about performance, it is also packed with a bunch of functions and features. G-SHOCK watches stand out not just with their tough design, but also with their g shock watch technical refinements. From environmentally friendly solar technology and Bluetooth® through to GPS and radio technology — G-SHOCK always features state-of-the-art technology.

As a result the watch needs a big battery and does not come offered with a solar powered version. Many of the other G-Shocks now have this and I would happily pay another $100 for a slightly bulkier and solar powered version. Even with the Bluetooth power drain Casio could maybe create a hybrid set up and have a replaceable battery too to help when the watch is using a lot of features . Tied in to this I’d also love to be able to use the LED for longer because its so bright its useful as a nighttime camp flashlight when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. There is a digital stopwatch function available from the push button menu and there is also an alarm set and countdown timer function too.

With its extensive qualities and a classy outlook, the twin sensor watch enables you to access directions and temperature even under rough surfaces. For Anderson, all of these features combine to make a watch that’s incredibly useful when fighting wildfires. The digital and analog faces make it easy to read, even in a haze of smoke. After all, staying one step ahead of the blaze is essential for completing the mission. New reworked Mud Resist buttons are also used throughout for improved resistance to the elements. Other features include a radio wave timekeeping, digital compass, barometer, altimeter, thermometer, world time, stopwatch, countdown and five independent alarms.

Certainly, we see Casio continuing its iterative approach to product improvement by building on what they have done in the past — but having said that, this G-Shock is radically different from models made just a few years ago. New features, such as Casio’s use of carbon material, as well as the new case construction, g shock protection mean that the look and feel of the GG-B100 are worth experiencing even if the model isn’t right for you. Casio did an excellent job, and I find myself liking the GG-B100 as a product as much as I did the G-Shock GW9400 Rangeman. The G-SHOCK Mudmaster GG-B100 is a purpose-built, bombproof watch for all outdoorsmen.

CasioThen, drawing inspiration from the petrol tanks seen on offroad vehicles that traverse tough trails, Casio designers created a special dual-layered case that provides enhanced protection from mud, dust, and moisture. This case features an airtight stainless-steel panel back as well as a shock-resistant fine-resin fiberglass back. The new G-SHOCK GWG-1000 was designed for deserts, mud, and other tough environments, and it is packed with features that deliver the toughness needed for use in harsh land environments. G-SHOCK was born from a simple idea — a watch should not break when dropped. Back in 1983, the original square-shaped DW-5000C was created after Kikuo Ibe witnessed a child bouncing a rubber ball.
