Mudmaster G

CasioThe Mission Log function tracks the altitude measured by the watch and the course obtained from the smartphone’s GPS and automatically records both to an app. The Calorimeter measures altitude and step count to calculate the calories consumed on a long stalk. From construction through features and design, the G-SHOCK GWG-1000 is in every way designed g shock watch to withstand harsh environments. The Mudmaster runs on the 5594 module — a Bluetooth-connected analog/digital timekeeping device that’s programmable via the G-SHOCK Connected app. The module has a unique “Mission Log” function that combines information from the watch and the GPS in your smartphone to provide a readout of your latest adventure.

The compass incorporated into this watch is obviously useful for an outdoor watch. The compass is, as mentioned, accessed by using the top right button. Once the compass is activated, you can read the bearing via the screen and the north indicated with the second hand. The thermometer of this watch simply indicates the temperature where you are. To access this, you use the thermometer button which is the left lower button to get the sub-second to move to the temperature position.

Keep in mind that if you are wearing the watch on the wrist, the indicator might not be completely accurate since your wrist radiates heat. Once you have gotten the sub-dial into the correct position, the temperature will be indicated g shock watch on the LCD screen. The watch has both an analog display and a digital LCS screen in order to display all of the information and data. Around the outer edge of the dial, it has abbreviations of cities for the world timer.

Due to hit the shops in an as-yet unspecified date in the October, the MUDMASTER GWG-2000 aims to be even tougher than its range-mates. The watch also features newly developed Mud Resist buttons throughout. The combination of stainless steel button pipes and internal silicone buffer material, which not only absorbs shock but provides a tight seal, ensures even better dust- and mud-resistant performance.

Measuring in at a bold 53.1mm wide by 55.4mm lug-to-lug with a thickness of 19.3mm, the Mudmaster makes quite the statement. It’s not just large for the sake of being large, as the case houses the G-SHOCK “Quad Sensor” – an array of tools including a thermometer, altimeter/barometer, digital compass, and step counter. Metal button pipes for each of the six buttons make for a tighter seal to keep out mud and debris, while a dual-layer caseback further ensures protection from the elements. Last one to highlight in the twin sensor collection is G Shock Mud Master GG A5DR, available in color tan. The Neo-Brite luminous hands will let you read the hour in dark situations along with the marking in the right of every hour. As said before new materials have been used in the manufacturing of this watch in order to create a two-layer guard structure that confers it a great shock resistance that you rarely see on other watches.

There are also mud resistant buttons, which use a combination of stainless steel and an internal silicone buffer material to ensure no external matter can enter through the watch itself. Forged carbon is therefore perfect for use in a watch designed for extreme sports participants. Casio uses it for the lug that connects the bezel to the band on either side. The g shock watch G-Shock Mudmaster GWG-2000 is the first in the range to be made with forged carbon – a material more commonly used in aircraft or racing car manufacture. It is tough, with a tensile structure stronger than stainless steel, yet lightweight and malleable. I like the band on the watch but feel the glossy polish metal buckle may scratch and look ratty over time.

One of the finest one among the G-Shock Mud Master Series, the minimal coloring of this model makes it more visible and easier-to-use even in harsh environments. With an exceptional grip and versatile outlook, the G shock Mud Master GWG ADR is a timepiece everyone wants to have. Specially designed for those who work in a tough environment, this model is mud and vibration resistant making it compatible enough to wear within rough work areas. At a case diameter of 5.1 centimeters, a thickness of 16.6 millimeters and a weight of 3.04 ounces the G Shock Sky Cockpit is yet again a pretty big watch. It features a versatile design making it suitable for both active or casual environments along with its illuminated hands and numbers indicators. Unless you have big wrists, or really enjoy wearing large watches, you will find it very big on the wrist, but for the outdoors, it is a bit of a story as it is more of a tool than a watch.

The rest of the functions are similar to other top G-Shocks like alarms, world time, chronograph, dual time display, high intensity LED light and many more. The LCD screen at 6 o’clock is used for reading the sensor functions of this watch. A downside of the GWG-1000, however, is that the screen is quite small and can be easy to read. You may also use the button to move the hands out of the way quite frequently.

The G-Shock collection from Casio doesn’t need much of an introduction. It’s tough, durable, and made to handle virtually any harsh conditions you may subject it to. Finally I’m aware that the Bluetooth connectivity is fantastic but it comes at a significant drain to power.
