What I really don’t g shock protection like about those 2 models is there is no backlight for the digital display. There is an led for the analog but I’ve never been very satisfied with them. Even if new, the GA100 came out a while ago, so it could be one that sat in a warehouse for a long time. I would first change the battery and do an AC reset, then see if that will help. I bought my first G, a G-shock Ga-100-1a1 a couple of days ago hoping to get a watch that is durable and accurate. Unfortunately, it is losing about 4 seconds every day which is about 120 seconds a month, well beyond Casio’s claim of +-15 seconds a month.
