One of my favourite frangraces, real masculine smell with great longevity, which gives you time to enjoy it in its different stages.starts of with grassy notes than finishes off with a leathery scent. It’s my signature scent and I have ralph lauren t shirt almost 40 fragrances so I have tried a lot. Still, it’s not a blind buy because the smell is so distinct. Polo by Ralph Lauren (“Polo Green”) is one that I bought again. It’s somewhat divisive; I get the best and worst comments on this one, but the good comments outweigh the bad by far.
This is a clean, older-style scent, and is very much in my wheelhouse as a result. I’ve always appreciated my barbershops, old schools, and pine scents have always appealed to me. This is a staple fragrance, and I’m happy to own it once again.
Real man’s scent and defo not like the blue scents. The first time was 16 years old stealing a sniff from dad’s bottle and recalling it was extremely strong and pungent. 30 years later finally acquired a bottle of my own and it smells different than my memory. Light pine, light tobacco, light oakmoss, light leather, Chypre style.
He might be the ultimate successful boomer. Polo is heavily hit by counterfeiters. I recently bought a 4 oz bottle from Gilbcol-96 for less than $40 USD.
I’m not sure why this scent is so polarizing, but it definitely can be too overwhelming for some occasions. It’s just such an amazing green leathery tobacco-ey scent that smells like money to me. I still have about 5 mL left in my 1995 bottle, so I can’t judge the current formulation.
