Like other reviewers said, it really smells like money, not the newer bills made of plastic (I’m Canadian, I don’t know how us bills are nowadays) but the old ones made of paper, like a big stack of it. It’s really powerful, I tested 4 different fragrances on polo dress shirts different areas today and I can only smell Polo , I wish I didn’t bought the 240ml bottle, I’ll have enough for at least 3 lifetimes. I think if you are over 30 this is great, in my case it definitely gives me a good throwback in my childhood when I spray it.

It has amazing projection and lasts all day. This is the gold standard when it comes to masculine smelling men’s fragrances. What I get initially is pine needles and the general smell of being outdoors in the country.

There is no more iconic bottle in all of perfumery. The original powerhouse polo dress shirts formulation would fill the whole room. My father wore this in the 80s, 90s.

Every time I purchased a bottle, I would be gifted Polo bags and other gifts . I still have several of those bags in the classic green canvas to this day. I used the canvas briefcase for my first job out of college in 1984. The satchel bag I have still has the paper surrounding the shoulder strap tucked under the flap, and it looks brand new.

However, as I recall there was a sweet aspect to it back in the day. I have no idea what notes I smelled. I thought this might be one of those frags that I would take some time to enjoy, but I actually love this one on my initial testing. I haven’t worn it, but usually on skin, fragrances are even better so I’m gonna go ahead and say that I love it.

A very manly scent with hints tobacco, I don’t think this would ever go out of fashion, it was Lauren at his best. It’s also a quite aggressive scent so if someone around you doesn’t like it you’re very likely to annoy people wearing this. It’s not outdated in the sense that an older person (I’m 32) could wear it better. It’s outdated in the sense that it smells like something that belongs to a specific era and that’s really not compatible with the contemporary taste. I can imagine men of my age and even younger wearing this really well back in the 80s, but not now. It’s a very interesting and unique classic scent that’s worth trying just for the sake of your fragrance culture.

I don’t know why i was not interested in that perfume. Bought a travel spray out of a gift set. I think this is what Quorum wants to smell like but is harsher. Distinct scent for a discerning man.

In the dry-down, there is woodruff, although it’s not listed. This is not at all unpleasant – I’m not sure why so many people count it among their most hated fragrances. It’s mostly floral on me, with mild notes of pine, vetiver, and wood.
