Still smells great but unfortunately for me my stepfather still wears this and I have a hard time wearing this and feeling like it’s my own. I only wear this around the house occasionally in the fall and winter months because I love the smell. This is my wife’s favorite of all my fragrances and will always have a place in my collection. The dry-down maintains the green, woody vibe, and the patchouli, oakmoss, vetiver, leather and tobacco keep it dark and mature.
But where Polo shines is in longevity and projection. It lasts 4-6 hours on my skin with 2-3 sprays, and 8-10 hours with 5-6 sprays. Projection is at least arms length throughout.It even has lasted 2 days on fabric.
It lost that something special, those truly rich and deep notes. Todays version, it’s quite obvious that the quality has been stripped from it. Very similar to Paco Rabanne pour homme Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt but it lasts much longer and doesn’t have that gross soapy opening pour homme does. I wear this a few times a month but with the current formulation I can get 12 hours out of this.
