Sun Joe Lawn Mowers Power Equipment

Operation on all slopes requires extra caution. If you feel uneasy on a slope, do not mow it.Mow across the face of slopes; never mow slopes following an up and down traverse. Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on a slope. Make sure that the mowing area is clear of bystanders before starting the machine. Stop the machine if anyone enters the area. Clear the mowing area of foreign objects such as rocks, wire, toys and other miscellaneous articles, which could be picked up and thrown by the blade.

Stay behind the handle when the engine is running. In particular, do not leave the battery charger in a car that is parked in the sunshine. Do not keep the battery charger in places where the temperature is liable to reach over 104°F (40°C). Protect batteries and the tool from overloads.

I) Stop the lawn mower by releasing the start/stop switch bar lever. Ensure the switch is in the OFF position before insert the safety key, or before picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or charging power tools with the switch ON can lead to accidents. Before using the mower, take the time to familiarize yourself with the controls, especially how to stop the mower in an emergency. The only individuals who should use the mower are those who have a thorough understanding of the instructions and who know how to operate the machine. Children should never be allowed access to the mower.

Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded. Retain this manual for future reference and reread it at the start of each mowing season. Keep children away from power tools at all times, but particularly while the tool is in use.

This medium-weight model weighs about 56pounds, and it is 26.9inches long, 20inches wide, and 18inches thick. It has an inverted-U handle bar that features an ergonomic handle and hosts the height-control lever bar. It is built to deliver a cutting power equivalent to a gas-powered mower. It is powered by a 12-amperes, 24-volts motor.

After each cutting session, remove accumulated grass clippings and debris using either a dry cloth or handbrush. For safety reasons, the lawn mower may not be used to mow inclines with gradients exceeding 15 degrees. Release the ejector flap to secure the grass collection bag in position (Fig. 10). With the other hand, hold the grass collection bag by the handle and hook it in from above (Fig. 9). Secure the power cable to the lawn mower by using the cable clips. Do not press the ON/OFF switch any more if the protective cut-off has been activated.

Corded (also called plug-in) lawn mowers have an electric cord with a plug that needs to be fitted into a socket or power outlet. These low-maintenance lawn mowers are lighter and more powerful than the battery-powered lawn mowers. This makes them suitable for creating unique lawn patterns and handling stubborn grass and weeds that have overgrown over a field. Therefore, these lawn mowers are suitable for residential lawn owners, gardeners, and lawn maintenance specialists. Most high-quality electric lawn mowers are the walk-behind self-propelled type. Whether you mulch or not, you’ll want to adjust your mower to fit the job.

The mower houses a powerful 13-amp motor resulting in very clean cuts and debris vacuumed effortlessly into the bag. With a small deck, a few passes on the lawn are just enough to have you exhausted, henceforth the cut quality suffers as you want to finish sooner. However, if you really care about cut quality, you’ll have to be patient with the mower, and stay clear of the urge to speed things up. For that, I recommend you do it early in the morning, or late in the evening when the sun isn’t hot in your yard.
