Weber Q 3200 Liquid Propane Gas Grill in Titanium Walmart com Propane gas grill, Small gas grill, Gas grill

I have to say, overall, I was impressed with what a good cooking performance the 2200 offers up. Although it has a few limitations that you wouldn’t necessarily find with a whole grill, I did enjoy grilling on it. This portable grill is far from cheap but I would argue that you are investing in the Weber brand and this is certainly worth the extra cash. It isn’t just about the features and how well the grill works – just take a look at the quality of the components. Go hiking in nature with a grill as vibrant as the scenery. Travel on or off the beaten path, camp in the woods or near the shore.

That’s not uncommon with grills but if you’re looking for pinpoint low-and-slow cooking, this might not be the product for you. Once assembled, it was time to give the Weber a go at its most important duty. At 1,300 BTUs, the Weber has a good punch of power for a “portable” grill so I expected some serious heat. The ignitor worked and the grill lit on the first attempt.

I called Weber they recommended I loosen all, the screws so I could try and get the can to fit that way…how ridiculous. Paid to much to have to go through that eventide you want to change the propane can. I wholeheartedly recommend the Weber Q1200 portable grill.

Last, but certainly not least, we wish this model came with a latch to secure the lid. Though it doesn’t solve the issue, the cast aluminum lid is at least heavier than most, so it doesn’t bounce around much during normal travel. But if you’re planning on four-wheeling into your BBQ site, consider using a bungee cord to help secure it. While reading reviews of the grill, I noticed that several people mentioned it can take a while to pre-heat, so I shut the lid and went inside to prep my burger. When I checked on the grill five minutes later, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the lid thermometer already read 400 degrees.

Even in this crowded marketplace, many consumers are still willing to pay more for the Weber name and they are rarely disappointed. Their iconic black charcoal kettles are known throughout the world. One of the benefits of this gas grill – and others like it – is that size doesn’t matter.

I have a lot of experience with the Q Series grills and, while I am a big fan of the Q series, there are a few things that could be improved. In fact, when I was shopping for a new grill I took a hard look at this one at Costco but bought another Weber model instead. Please keep in mind that while the body of the grill will never rust, the grates and burner tubes will if you do not keep the grill properly cleaned between uses.

It’s around 30 lbs and is a bit cumbersome to transport without wheels. Out of the box, it feels a little clunky and awkward. It isn’t the type of grill you would be willing to carry very far. There is a stand available that would make it easier to haul. But, after paying more money for a practically stationary Weber Q, a stand may not seem that viable. I suppose that it depends on how much more a Weber Q1200 appeals to you.

Heat Flux is the BTU per square inch and is a more useful measure of how much heat a grill delivers than BTU alone. While it doesn’t mean that ribs and similar foods are of the table, it can make it trickier to cook them. After all, grilling on a lower temperature doesn’t have nearly the same effect. The biggest issue here would be with the fact that there is only one burner. Now, given the size of the model this isn’t too surprising, but it does create a small issue when it comes to indirect cooking.
