[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After spending over $300 we were hoping for an all in one vacuum and floor cleaner. We just used it on our hardwood and tile floors and there is wet pet hair everywhere. So now we have to wait for it to dry and bring out the old busted duster vacuum and do it all over again. The product does not do what it says for hardwoods and tile if you have short hair dogs like a black lab.

Bissell’s newest, wet-dry vacuum cleaner promises a cordless, light, easy-to-use appliance to help bring some sanity back into families’ lives. This warranty applies to a product used for personal purposes, and not commercial or rental service. Safe an effective on multiple surfaces including tile, sealed wood floors, carpet, rugs, laminate, linoleum, rubber floor mats, pressed wood floors, and more. My kitchen floor often gets quite dirty because I have three cats that regularly walk in and out, bringing in mud from outside. The CrossWave Cordless Max made short work of even toughs stains that some floor cleaners struggle with, leaving a clean and relatively dry floor.

We think that this multi-surface cleaner performs very well on low-pile carpets and rugs. It manages to remove an impressive amount of debris while leaving your floors looking practically brand new. Though impressive on low-pile carpets and rugs, we didn’t find that it dyson robot vacuum did an incredible job on high-pile rugs. This is understandable, as these rugs ideally need to be taken to the dry cleaners. With the touch of a button, you can seamlessly switch from cleaning hard floors to vacuuming and refreshing your area rugs, all with one machine.

Had Bissell provided the option to purchase a spare battery that can be charged with the docking station at the same time, this would have resulted in a higher rating. Something I’ve had to get used to with the Bissell crosswave is its weight. It’s 11.5 pounds does give me a bit of an arm workout by the time I’m done cleaning my floors.

After using this machine you will want to press and hold the button that looks like a fan, just under the display, and it will begin a 30-second self-clean. You will still have to empty water tanks and clean brushes, but this does help along the way as it flushes out dirt, hair and debris from the appliance and brush roll. Once finished you’ll want to grab and empty both water tanks – be prepared for what you’ll find in the dirty tank – and with the dirty tank, remove the filter and clean it thoroughly. Then, take out the rotating brush bar and give it a good clean under your tap.

Preferably, this plug socket will be out of sight from you and your guests, since this machine isn’t exactly the smallest. This is one of our only issues with the BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max – it’s quite hard to store. Ours is currently sitting in our kitchen, charging through a plug that sits above our worktop. It’s worth us noting that this machine has to be sat on the dock to charge, and you’ll want to place it on there when self-cleaning, too. If you are short on storage space, this is not the appliance for you.
