Our Review of the Bissell Wet-Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop

The shark cordless Max’s real-world suction performance is poor. It uses a less powerful suction motor than the corded BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro and is likely to have more trouble drawing out debris wedged deep within cracks and crevices. Like the corded model, swapping between the ‘Hard Floor’ and ‘Area Rug’ modes doesn’t impact suction performance, as these settings don’t alter brushroll height or motor output.

Unfortunately, after only 7 months the battery is no longer holding a charge. The other issue is you do not have any service centers anywhere near me. I truly hope you all resolve this because this is a great concept and product. The powerful 36V Li-Ion battery gives 30 minutes of cordless cleaning time, without being tied to a plug socket or getting tangled in the cord. Since 1876, our family-owned corporation has developed and created the world’s best cleaning tools.

Unlike dedicated dry vacuums and carpet cleaners, this appliance will not be as powerful as the aforementioned, but rather for general, daily use. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max 2554 and BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro each have distinct advantages, meaning one might suit you better than the other, depending on your needs. Both vacuums use similar detergent-dispersal functions and do a good job of dealing with dried-on stains as well as liquid spills. They’re also pretty similar in terms of dimensions and overall weight.

An easy to use multi-surface cleaner that vacuums and mops your floors simultaneously. For use on hard floors, carpets and shark cordless even rugs, it’s great for picking up pet hair and large debris. It’s also easy to use, and it cleans itself afterwards.

As my floors are mostly comprised of wood, I’m very cautious about adding too much moisture lest the floorboards start warping or bulging. Thankfully, the CrossWave seems to remove more excess water than other models, leaving just a very thin film in its wake which evaporates in minutes. In fact, this part of the process impressed me so much that the machine has become my new go-to floor cleaner for all eventualities. There will be times, mind, when you will need to remove the dirty water container and rinse it under a sink, especially if the catch filter is clogged with hair or other unsightly muck. But this is par for the course with any type of floor cleaner. If you want to know what a clean hard floor looks like, pop over to this writer’s pad and admire the hard graft I’ve put into getting my floors to look like a polished school hall.

A powerful 36V Li-Ion battery ensures you get constant performance throughout the entire cleaning process while enjoying the cordless freedom. It’s expensive, though, so if your budget is smaller then check out my guide to the best hard floor cleaners has alternatives. In fact the only thing that lets it down a little is the useless charging interface.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to this product we were using a vacuum to pick up the dirt and then a wet Swiffer mop. I was dubious because of the price point, but since its use our floor looks almost brand new and feels better on our bare feet. Hoping it lasts a long time and would certainly recommend. Note that you should only use this cleaner on rugs that are marked as suitable for wet cleaning .
