One Skimm HQ’r cleaned her apartment with the Bissell vacuum over the course of several weeks. She used it on multiple surfaces — from the tile in her bathrooms to the hardwood and carpet in her bedroom and living room. She used the vacuum for deep and quick cleanings in both the mop and vac settings. While the clean shark cordless was effective, we found that sometimes switching between the wet and dry settings on one surface made it harder to pick up debris. For example, our editor mopped on hardwood and then attempted to use the dry vacuum setting and found it was difficult for the machine to pick up debris off of an already wet surface.
I have two labs and three cats and that means muddy floors on a regular basis… and hair. For smaller areas, this appliance is a nice, convenient way to quickly clean, but think twice if you intend to use it for larger homes.

The Crosswave also made it super easy to give my carpet a quick freshening up. As I said in my first blog, it does not completely replace shampooing your carpet. I have had the Bissell Crosswave Max for about a year now, and I am ready to give another review.

They will still be damp, but not as wet as they would be after mopping. It’s also great for parents and pet owners, since it can vacuum up liquid-based mess, too, and it rids the need of getting out your vacuum and mop when something is spilt. No matter if you have carpeted or hard floors, or if you own several rugs or none, this multi-surface cleaner will definitely cut down the amount of time you spend cleaning. Although you may want to bear the weight of it in mind – especially if you’ll be carrying it up and down your stairs – and the high price tag.
The bottom one collects dirty water, and the top holds the cleaning solution. The latter has line markings to guide you with how much water to add, followed by the cleaning solution. There are separate markings for “large” and “small” areas. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was completely sold on how much I was going to love this until I didn’t.
25 minutes of uninterrupted run time enables you to simultaneously vacuum, wash and dry multiple rooms and floor types in the average sized house. I have had a problem with a couple of these in that if you suck up anything it will trigger the full tank sensor and doesn’t work anymore. I spend more time cleaning the vac than I do cleaning my floors. The Bissell Crosswave Max is very powerful, and it picks up a lot from my floors! This makes the dirty water from the vacuum very dark and can get grime in my vacuum. The Max offers good battery performance.
Despite having recently cleaned our wooden floor, a clean with the Cross Wave showed how much dirt had been missed. The handle release sounds like you break it with the loud click. There is a tendency for the rollers to leave streaks but we are experimenting with reduced amounts of cleaning liquid. To test out the Bissell CrossWave Cordless Max, I put it through a series of real-world tests, combining both vacuum and hard floor cleaning. First, I started by spreading a teaspoon of flour onto the kitchen floor, right up against the skirting board.
