Casio To Release First G

With its outstanding quality and specifications, this timepiece is able to withstand any rough and tough environment without any trouble. Like earlier mentions, this too is mud, water and vibration resistant so you can wear no matter what your work location is. This G-Shock timepiece complies with the toughness of Mud Master Series with additional specification that makes it more compatible and solid.

You can find this model in a greyish color tone, which not only is durable and tough to wear under harsh environment, but also completes your outlook in a very different manner. Another one from the same collaboration in color khaki which looks quite different as compared to the black one. Same in specification but with a different outlook the G Shock Mud Master GG-B100BA-1ADR has a black dialer against khaki Resin band.

This item not only works tough but also looks promising and more suitable for people who know how to maintain their looks. For all the all-black lovers, this timepiece is best suitable as it does not only fulfill your work demands but g shock protection also looks extremely breath-taking with a black resin band and dialer. With triple resistance qualities against mud, water and vibration this color option is best suitable for the ones shining out no matter at what place they are.

Even basic Casio watches require a little learning, but all the functionality offered in these more feature-packed models can be overwhelming to use with only the few buttons available on the watch itself. From within the G-Shock Connected application, you can control various settings and displays, set alarms and timers, and customize the watch’s modes. The smartphone link further allows the time to automatically update when changing time zones as well as adjust the timekeeping accuracy. An Activity Log feature uses the phone’s positioning and the watch’s altimeter to track activity, but it seems like most smartphones alone would be able to accomplish this. It will be more useful if future versions of the watch are able to perform these kinds of things autonomously like some smartwatches already can.

The face is surrounded by a resin bezel with a carbon fiber sheet visible through the transparent top layer. This new shock resistant structure protects modules with a carbon fiber reinforced resin case. The Aviation line tends to have a more traditional design as Casio decided to use analog hands, but I consider this a plus in terms of better readability in harsh environments.

Although I didn’t manage to damage it I feel like over time this may end up being the most scruffy part of the watch. I would actually prefer if this buckle was a tough resin or if the metal was PVD coated or finished in a non glossy brushed finish instead. Firstly the lume on the hands should extend to the numbers on the dial too or at the very least an extra single lume dot at the 12 position. This means that in the pitch dark you know ‘which way up’ the watch is and more importantly don’t read the watch with a slightly crooked wrist and inaccurately guess which hour it is.

At first encounter, the Mudmaster’s aggressive size seems to suggest its purpose as rugged equipment and just how much tech is packed inside it. Colors and textures that reference military or industrial themes further communicate that this watch means business. I’m picky when it comes to the ana-digi watch dials I like, and I think Casio did an excellent job here. The “negative-colored” LCD screen is large with clear pixels and offers snappy performance. The analog hands help when needed but are mostly there for performing an ancillary function while allowing you to still know the current time.

The smartphone connection allows for other features as well, some more useful than others depending on the wearer’s needs. A new feature for 2019 is the use of a plastic resin case reinforced with carbon fiber, which replaces the baby g shock plastic-only structure of many existing models. The brand is calling this type of case “Carbon Core Guard,” and the idea is that it will keep watches as light as those fully made of plastic and possibly even more resilient.

This led to a shock resistant structure that includes a hollow-structured case, all-directional protective covering and the use of cushioning material to protect critical parts. Previous “Triple Sensor” watches had a compass, thermometer, and pressure sensors, which are used for barometer and altimeter readings. The fourth sensor in the Mudmaster’s “Quad Sensor” is an accelerometer which senses the acceleration of gravity the same way smartphones are able to detect directions, tilts, vibrations, etc. This is used in the Mudmaster to offer a step counter which can then share data with a smartphone via a bluetooth connection (activated by the button at 3 o’clock).

Because of its size, it’s not the most comfortable, but it does the job for what it’s meant to do. Thanks to its rugged construction, you won’t have to worry about whether or not it will hold up. This is a very multifunctional analogue/digital watch with Compass, extreme shock resistant case, Tough Solar and Atomic timekeeping. 2 years battery life and uses a standard CR2025 battery which are cheap and easy to source. Although not recommended because of the water resistant O ring you can at a push replace the battery easily yourself with only a small screwdriver. Casio has announced that it will be adding a new watch to its G-SHOCK MUDMASTER range, this one will be built from forged carbon.

Additional features like a calorie calculator, automatic time adjustment, phone finder, and world time for over 300 cities make this function-packed watch even more of a powerhouse. Another color option in this series is the G Shock Mud Master GSG-100-1A3DR which is designed in olive green color with a beige dial to enhance readability. The color combo is available for a competitive price.G Shock Mud Master GSG-100-1A3DR Price starts from $236. This minimal black dialer with Khaki resin band watch is priced just right according to its specification.
