It’s slightly busier than the GA-400, and for this reason, Casio is pushing this as “Street Fashion”-oriented. What we see is more of an automotive vibe coming in with the perforated hands on many models that suggest both old-school steering wheels and perforated driving gloves. Now I’m forced into using an alarm clock which doesn’t make me happy after having spent more on this watch than any other watch I’ve ever owned. I have small wrists & have never liked resin bands but hoped that Casio g shock protection was putting a more comfortable band on a pricier watch. Well, I tried it for several days & if you have a small wrist it’s no better fitting or more comfortable than the cheap plastic band on a no name watch.
The whole dial is protected by a mineral crystal which has no obvious AR coating and probably will scratch in time but still affords 200m of water resistance. It has many extra features & capabilities (Temp/Barometer/Altimeter, etc.). This is the second Casio watch I ordered for my son who is serving in the military. The first one was a Casio Pro Tek, and I returned it because when the light button was pressed, it was such uneven light-much lighter on one side than the other. I was very, very disappointed to find the same to be true with this watch, as it is a more expensive G-Shock model.
