This newest model of soup maker may indeed only heat to boiling! I’ve now amended the chart above to reflect this. Maybe over time we will have access to better specs showing more accurate temperatures. And/or, maybe someone who has used this machine will comment. It has three heat settings, ranging from a low simmer to a high boil. Throw in some chopped vegetables, turn on the heat setting and get cooking.

I know crushing and grinding is going to be noisy but why does stirring have to be? My husband is not as enamoured of the thermomix as I am and it constantly annoys him. He actually leaves the room if I am cooking in it. Also I’d add an option to have a soft or no alarm.
This can be adjusted throughout the cooking process, but a time must be selected to start the heater initially. Overall, I’m definitely pleased with the Cuisinart Blend & Cook Soup and Beverage Maker. I’m sure I will continue cuisinart pots and pans set to use it to make healthy vegetable soups, and I plan to try some of the other recipes included in the recipe booklet. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting an easy way to make homemade creamy soups.
