I had tried changing the filter but that didn’t solve the problem it was then I had realized that the Base was the problem. The actual problem was the spring-loaded valves for both the intake and outflow lines, which had a plastic prong that protrudes out of the base that is triggered by the filter when installed. The two prongs were worn-down so the filter wasn’t activating the spring-loaded release valve to let the water thru. Both Frigidaire and Kenmore refrigerators use similar parts, and the manufacturer is reliable when providing replacement parts.
Finish up the repair by reinstalling the shelving brackets and reinserting the shelves and baskets. Place the evaporator fan motor and its housing into the refrigerator and lower the top, rear panel. @Dennis DeSilva do you know how much space there is between your island and the fridge door? I am really worried that the 4ft I have is not enough to comfortably use the space. I think Frigidaire has increased production of these units over the last month or so. I’ve Frigidaire fridge purchased the set back in April, the store is getting their ordered units in this week, so fingers crossed I get mine later this week. My search from various other retailers said that Frigidaire actually bumped up ETA from May to late December early January.
