Gotham Steel Reviews

While the Gotham Steel pan reviews are mostly positive, this cookware is quite thin. If you’re expecting an heirloom piece, you’ll be disappointed. Again, if you have gotten accustomed to employing a coating of cooking spray, then proceed with that spray into the other end of the kitchen once you use your Gotham pan. Blue Diamond cookware does not tend to stay non-stick indefinitely — the coat will gradually begin to flake out and possibly enter your food. The heat supply isn’t as even, the non-stick coating is quite thin, and the pan itself may begin to warp after usage. Broadly, hardly any men and women wind up enjoying accurate aluminum cookware.

These pans are very affordable and functional for an entry-level ceramic nonstick option. The nonstick properties are pretty good as long as proper care is taken when cooking and cleaning . Blue Diamond uses industrial lab-grown diamond dust in their nonstick coating. That special ingredient is what is supposed to make their pans exceptionally durable, as well as heat quickly and evenly.

As with other Gotham Steel cookware, the value is exceptional. The 3 piece set goes for under $50, the 5 piece under $100, and the 10 piece varies by color from about $120-$180. The pieces are on the small side (that’s an 8-inch skillet, 2.75-quart and 3.5-quart sauce pan in the pic), but still highly usable.

In other collections, the long main handles are flat or round and hollow to reduce heat transfer. It is flat, thin, and features a divot that runs the length of the handle for your thumb to rest. The perfect pan set for cooking for 2-3 people or if you’re low on room. If you want the best product with the lowest financial investment, you may want to opt for the T-fal Signature set, which includes heat indicators and a griddle perfect for pancakes.

To compare, the Original Gotham Steel 10 piece set goes for around $100. So while the Stackmaster set costs more than the Original, it’s still quite affordable. Also similar to other Gotham Steel lines, which means these pans are very light yet the encapsulated base helps them to resist warping. You can also get this line with bakeware–but know that the bakeware is original Gotham Steel, nothard anodized.

Alexandra liked that this set balanced value with quality, on the lower end of cost but equal to some higher-end models. The encapsulated base adds to the durability, making the Cookware Sets pan thicker and more warp resistant, though it is still a fairly thin pan compared to higher quality disc-based cookware. The stainless handle is sturdy and comfortable to hold.
