The air filter has just enough give to it to flex away from the seat tube, but rides the tube pretty hard. I’m tempted t just leave it, since I’m not sure I could put a little bend into it without destroying the part or restricting the airflow. There’s always the aftermarket option – offset intake manifolds… I had an idea- to support my cargo rack by bolting supports into the rear canti brake mounts, rather than the rear wheel dropouts. It would look similar to yours but require no welding.
It’s a multi-purpose bike that is ideally suited for any rider. For this reason, it features an adjustable saddle to better fit you according to your height. You can also adjust the angle of the seat for a better riding position.
Under those circumstances, that’s still all the rear wheel braking you can get, though. It’s the effectiveness of the front brake you want to be most discriminating about. This bike features coaster brakes, and they perform well as long as you are good at using them.
I’d have to jack the seat up a foot or more just to pedal it and my feet would be hitting the front tire in turns. I’m going to put the wheels on my stretch cruiser with my Bontrager whitewalls. The cream tires look nifty as they’re fat and square but I already have cream Fat Franks on my other bike. But, jokes aside, to save you additional expenses, Huffy installed the front basket as a regular addition to this bicycle. It is already installed, so you don’t need to waste your time doing it yourself. I haven’t used fenders since having that happen with my nel lusso. I’ve heard horror stories of front fenders getting caught instaflipping you over the handlebars. Oooh and reinforce the fenders with better bolts/brackets, or remove them entirely, one of those falls off and your day stops being fun. On top of that, only having one brake, let alone only that rear coaster brake, is dangerously insufficient for an ebike. I settled on a because I like the frame – the welded-in luggage rack was a big part of the decision. I’ve never been a big fan of coaster brakes anyway, and with the extra weight of the engine I just didn’t feel comfortable with them in principle.
