However I’m 26 now and I don’t really see the appeal, I bought it again but I get a headaches from it. I think I’m just over sweet vanilla perfumes. I gave mine away to a younger family member. La Vie Est Belle has fragrance notes of iris spring flowers and the intoxicating earthiness of patchouli.
When I used to wear it, I would just spray once. I used to get compliments all the time wearing this. The only reason I don’t have it in my collection anymore, is simply because I have found an alternative that I prefer. Loud, powerful praline – strong patchouli – delectable vanilla – suave tonka bean….and just a little iris.
Words were spoken, and I implored her not to buy that one, since you know…signature & worked literally 4 metres apart. She drowned herself in it every morning. It’s a nice scent and it is strong.
It smelled sweet and sexy and like a woman that had her life together and was cool and mature and pretty. I got a roller ball since it was all I could afford at the time and loved it and couldn’t wait to wear it around. Either people love it or they totally hate it, accusing it to be the ruin of modern perfumery, the starter of the sugary trend .. Honestly, I don’t understand all this fuss arund this fragrance, nor in a direction, neither in the other.
The opening is still harsh but once it settles it is very pleasant scent. Sweet, gourmand, warm, even comforting… Lancome makeup I’m also impressed with the sillage and longevity. When applied in moderation, it’s really nice.
It took more than a year for the effect to be achieved, creating the impression of a smile. So for some reason, this particular note then, in a few perfumes, doesn’t take completely over every other note. It is my favorite daily Estee Lauder NIGHT REPAIR scent, not that complicated perfect for work and casual events. I had 3 years ago and got it recently 100 ml for 125 CAD. Personally I would not wear LVEB for office or business occasions as it is very sweet and feminine.
Love the perfume, love the smell and hopefully the recipient will love it too. I would highly recommend this product. Product was ordered on the 25th of Aug, I recieved it on the 2nd of September. This would be best worn during autumn season, IMHO. I find it fairly linear, but that is quiet alright with me! The tonka bean is light, thank goodness because I find that note to often be cloying.
