Lancome calls it a fragrance for a true superwoman! I love the mystery of this scent which is captured by the patchouli notes and the floral heart composed of rose and jasmine which I sense them very intense. At its core, Floral Musk is a fluffy combination of rose and jasmine, illuminated by a bright and juicy pear and lychee duet. The scent is then amplified thanks to clean musky notes. To end, we add in a subtle dose of vanilla and patchouli, perfectly highlighting the fragrance, while never weighing it down.
I don’t have an expert nose but this smells a lot like Herbal Essences rose shampoo. That is all – it’s not terrible, I feel fresh and cute and it’s perfect for in-office wear and casual settings. I smelled it in the bottle when it first came out and did not really like it – it seemed to have no identity, boring, and too fresh. A year and a half later, I tried again, – this time on my skin, and I must say I fell in love with it!
I have mixed feelings about this one. The bottle is very simple and pretty, very practical especially the 30 ml size. Love the initial fruity fresh blast, like an expensive spa product. Then the rose and jasmine come and feels feminine and elegant, the projection is very good and it stays for at least a few hours on the skin. The problem I have with it is a very harsh and chemical note that burns my nostrils after minutes. I guess it is the type of musk they are using here.
I bought 50ml bottle, my husband loves it; it is elegant, sweet but refreshing. It is like biting into a ripe, juicy, sweet pear during a hot summer day. I did try this hoping for a generic, boring floral that would be easy to reach for but it’s just not my cup of tea. Lancome makeup The smell is like a conglomeration of a million B&BW scents and it also reminds me a lot of NR For Her EDP but a little less mature. I think I would find this pleasant if I smelled it on someone else but I wouldn’t pay the designer price tag to smell like this.
