I’m getting some vanilla sweetness and richness as well. There’s also almost a slight mustiness to it as well? Can’t tell if it’s because my perfume might be older or if it’s actually in there.

I ended up with the miniature bottle dabber somehow and actually really enjoyed it. It reminded me of Angel – a strong, patchouli gourmand – but actually wearable! I picked up an older bottle and it is surprisingly much less heavy on the patchouli and much more fruits and creamy, powdery vanilla! I guess the juice mellows out a lot with time. I really enjoy this one either way.
I got a roller ball since it was all I could afford at the time and loved it and couldn’t wait to wear it around. It lasts forever and has a nice sillage. I can smell the sweet notes and the patchouli which is a really nice combination because it seems more sophisticated and has more depth. I can also get some musk notes from this as well as the white florals, which again is a beautiful combination.
I always buy for a gift my daugter ,my nice love the smell and people give to they complemet . In less than a decade, it has generated more than 15 flankers, including limited editions. I just kept sniffing my arm and as it develops it becomes even more beautiful. I could smell it through-out the say from just one spray on my wrist. However….it has turned cool and wet in these parts, which always makes me want to snuggle down and indulge in something sweet. Hot chocolate, a fluffy blanket and a gourmand fragrance.
Sweet Redemption is my fall back perfume on days when I cannot make up my mind. It wears so elegantly, and yet it has that sensual streak that makes it fun. So looks like you and I share similar tastes. So many perfumes today load up the top and completely ignore the drydown.
As many have said, perhaps not the ideal reach for a very warm day, but I can see this being a 3-season perfume where I live. It’s not a dirty patchouli; it’s just a dash there for grounding and longevity. This fragrance is absolutely beautiful.
So I will be enjoying this beautiful bottle and I’m happy to have it in my collection. I would definitely say this is a perfume you have to try on your skin, as I think it smells very different on the blotter. It really blooms on skin and smells really feminine and beautiful. I love citrusy scents but anything too sweet and fruity is a no-no.
It is very strong and reminds me of perfumes that older women would wear when I was younger. I was surprised because I thought it would be a youthful fragrance. I smell the orange blossom and praline right away. It smells good, but for my tastes, it is strong. It gets more pleasant smelling to me once it has settled down after about 3 hours, since I am a person that gravitates towards lighter fragrances.
