The patchouli is super clean and the vanilla is so smooth. I was worried that it would just smell like a Victoria’s Secret perfume Lancome makeup but its way better! I definitely recommend it to gourmand/vanilla lovers. Projection is high for the first few hours.
My partner commented on my perfume as we got in to bed that evening, after I had initially sprayed it in the morning. This has been my go-to perfume for nights out and concerts for a few years now. I don’t pick up on all the fruity notes in it, and I don’t find it intensely sweet either. I get smoky incense, lychee, rose and vanilla – no praline, coffee or caramel to my nose.
But this one is well made if fruity patchouli is your thing. It must not be “old lady floral”. It has phenomenal lasting power and in my opinion a strong perfume. This scent is growing on me the more and more I smell it. Lancome Tresor La Nuit It supposedly depicts the dark side of rose and mixes notes of black rose with Tahitian vanilla orchid absolute.
A long time ago, I smelled this in a store and decided that I did nοt like it. I wanted to give a second chance, since it’s so popular. So, I tried it on myself tonight, after I got a sample.
But then you get the rose, patchouli and incense and it begins to rounden out a little bit. I love LVEB too i bot it 4 times and used it now i have 4 flankers, definetly i have to buy orgininal soon again? love Midnight rose too. Idole for me its like Gabrielle Chanel… Lancome fragrances are great on my skin and most long lasting. I originally smelt this on a friend of mine and immediately loved it.
I sprayed both together on my arm next to La Nuit and the drydown is similar but not exact, La Nuit has a sweet strawberry powdery/creamy note. Patchouli bomb with rotten fruits. Not a safe blind buy especially if you’re not a patchouli fan. This smells very masculine Estee Lauder makeup to my nose and too smoky. If you’re reading the notes and reviews and you think this is something you’d like, I’d go for Rihanna’s Reb’l Fleur instead. That one has a similar vibe as this, but more youthful, brighter, sweeter, and not as funky smelling.
