The GA110 is a good choice if you want a bold, manly watch. The look is just right – not understated, but not blingy or garish either. With the XL 55mm case, it will have a strong presence on your wrist. It’s also an affordable watch that looks more expensive than it really is. GW-6900’s size is medium when it comes to G-Shocks, which many people find perfect for them.
They are not as cheap as 6900 and not as monsters like Master of G series. There is no sensors at all, just regular functions lilke timer and snoozes. If you need stupid termo or alti – be ready to pay twice as 8900 in order to use these functions once a watch lifetime. This mode is activated by pressing and baby g shock holding G-button for 3 sec , but unlike the same mode in 9300 it automatically turns off (!!) after 6 hours of non-use the illumination! These models were released in 1996, designed and specifically made for the surfing market. These models were the very first G-Shock watches to have a countdown timer.
Hands-Free Backlight – Common feature, especially on solar models. When turned on, you can toggle the backlight with the flick of your wrist, without having to press buttons. Tough Solar – Or in other words – a solar rechargeable battery. Solar batteries in G-Shocks can run for 9 months on a full charge without further light exposure.
Combined with its green-tinted reverse LCD display and all-black body, this gives the watch a tough tactical look. This watch features an adjustable “flash alert” with LED light and buzzer for the alarms, hourly time signal, and countdown timer. Other unique features are the multi-time function that will display the time for 4 different cities and a low battery warning. You can view the data on your smartphone app, where you can see daily/weekly/monthly step counts.
These models were branded as X-Treme for the Japanese domestic market. In late 2018, Casio introduced the newest addition to the G-Shock Rangeman series of models. The GPR-B1000 is a GPS centred model, which can use the GPS receiver to maintain the exact time, down to the second. The battery is either charged by solar cells present on the face of the watch g shock watch or via a wireless charger supplied with the watch, a first for a Casio watch. Some include Tough Solar battery charging and Multiband 6 time synchronisation through radio signals from six transmission stations worldwide. The GW-9400 Rangeman and GWN-1000 Gulfmaster models have a Triple Sensor with a digital compass, thermometer, and barometer/altimeter.
Many of these models came equipped with a pair of strap adapters and a single one-piece resin or nylon band. These styles of band are also known as “crossband” in the Japanese domestic market. Resin bands for these models had open gaps or slits through the band. Casio refers to them as drainage slits; the idea is that water will drain out with no problems while in action when surfing.
The blue line in the middle of the display is a visual second counter, giving the watch a military look. DW-9052 is often seen worn by military personnel around the world, so maybe the tactical display has something to do with that. In addition to compass and thermometer, the Mudman also has solar power, hands-free backlight, World Time feature, tide & moon graphs, and the extra-rugged mud- and dust-resistant construction. Because of extra protection, the buttons require more force to push than on other G-Shocks, which is one of the downsides of the mud-resistant protection. G-Rescue is one of the best solar atomic models available for the money – close to indestructible, solar charging, radio-controlled, and jam-packed with features. The popular G-SHOCK three-dial face design incorporates one analog dial in the center, with digital dials on either side.
