Eureka and BISSELL vacuums occupy a similar budget-friendly niche, and offerings from each brand tend to have strengths. When comparing like-for-like models, BISSELLs usually have a wider array of convenience features, while Eurekas offer superior debris pickup performance. Dyson vacuums tend to occupy a much higher price point than BISSELL’s offerings, which is reflected in generally superior performance and better build quality. About 8 years ago I bought a shark and I just bought my third one and will continue to buy them. We updated this article in March 2023 to provide additional testing information. We included one additional product, the ICONpet Edge Cordless Vacuum. Wish it had a self propelled function but bissell vacuum cleaner is not hard to push. It took a bit of time to figure out how everything works in this vacuum, but it came with good directions. I used to have Dyson vacuum cleaner earlier, that I paid a lot more. It was great but Shark is doing at least as good job by getting rid of dog and cat hair and all other vacuuming in my house. I also find my new Shark vacuum cleaner much easier to empty. Shark vacuums are generally better built than BISSELL’s comparable offerings and deliver better overall performance.
